No dia 5 de setembro às 18h00 no Alkantara, CELESTIAL BODIES abriu as portas do seu universo ao público, com um convite para o encerramento da residência pequenos atos. A residência juntou as artistas da plataforma itinerante Celestial Bodies – Aru Ray Tormann, Ellen Vanderstraeten, Elsa Mencagli Andersen, Íris Stefanía Skúladóttir, Paula Diogo e Zofia Tomczyk – às artistas portuguesas Ligia Soares, Gaya de Medeiros e Zia Soares. Este evento serviu também para o lançamento oficial da publicação Celestial Bodies – Diálogos no Espaço, o terceiro livro do coletivo editado pela Má-Criação com o financiamento da República Portuguesa – Cultura, Juventude e Desporto / DGARTES. Foi um momento comemorativo especial, aberto a todos com pequenas ofertas artísticas num espaço acolhedor.
Agradecemos às entidades que nos têm apoiado ao longo dos anos, assim como às artistas que se têm juntado a nós em cada nova edição desde 2020.
On September 5 at 6 p.m. at Alkantara, CELESTIAL BODIES opened the doors of its universe to the public, with an invitation to the closing of the small acts residency. The residency brought together artists from the mobile platform Celestial Bodies — Aru Ray Tormann, Ellen Vanderstraeten, Elsa Mencagli Andersen, Íris Stefanía Skúladóttir, Paula Diogo and Zofia Tomczyk — with Portuguese artists Ligia Soares, Gaya de Medeiros and Zia Soares. This event also served as the official launch of the publication Celestial Bodies – Dialogues in Space, the collective’s third book, published by Má-Criação with funding from the Portuguese Republic – Culture, Youth and Sports / DGARTES. It was a special commemorative moment, open to all, with small artistic offerings in a welcoming space.
